Congrats! You’ve signed up for Castos podcast hosting, and now it’s time to connect our platform to your WordPress site. Fortunately we’ve made this as easy as a few clicks.
Here’s a quick screencast walkthrough of how the setup process works:
First, once you’ve logged in to your Castos dashboard hover over your name in the top right corner and click My Account, and then select the Podcast Details tab.
Here we’ll enter in the details of your show and the slug that your show will use in the app.
Click Update Podcast Info at the bottom and an API key will be generated.
Highlight and Copy this API Key (yes, the whole thing) and head back over to your WordPress Admin dashboard.
Under the Podcast menu area on the left side of your screen click Settings.
Along the tabs at the top click Hosting. Enter the email address you used to sign up for your Castos account and Paste in the API key you just created.
Click Validate Credentials to make sure everything is entered correctly, and then click Save to finish up.
That’s it. Your Castos account is now connected to your WordPress site. Every time you upload a new podcast episode media file it will automagically get sent off to our robust hosting platform. This way your listeners can listen or download your shows quickly and you don’t have to worry about your hosting platform handling all of the traffic from your next smash hit episode.
