What a Valid RSS Feed URL Looks Like
RSS feed URLs typically look like one of these formats:
https://feeds.castos.com/abcd1234 https://feeds.buzzsprout.com/1234567.rss https://anchor.fm/s/1234567/podcast/rss https://feeds.libsyn.com/123456/rss https://yoursite.com/feed/podcast/your-podcast
The URL should:
- Start with
https:// - Often contain words like "feed," "rss," or "podcast"
- When opened in a browser, display XML code (lots of tags like
<item>and<enclosure>) though some feeds may contain a stylesheet as Seriously Simple Podcasting does.
Validating Your RSS Feed
Before using your RSS feed URL, verify it's working correctly:
- Paste the URL into CastFeedValidator.com
- Check for any errors or warnings
- Confirm your episodes and podcast details appear correctly
