Submit your podcast to Spotify
Get your podcast listed on Spotify using Castos' direct integration.
Before You Submit
Requirements:
- At least one published episode
- Complete podcast details (title, description, cover art)
- Valid RSS feed
Video podcasts: Spotify does not accept video episodes from third-party hosts like Castos. If you have a video podcast, see Video Podcast Distribution for workarounds.
Already on Spotify? If your podcast is already listed on Spotify from a previous host, see Redirect former RSS feed to Castos.
Submit via Castos Direct Integration
Castos' direct integration lets you submit to Spotify without creating a Spotify for Creators account first.
- In your Castos dashboard, go to Settings for your podcast
- Click Distribution → Directories
- Find Spotify in the directory list
- Click Submit
- Follow the prompts to submit
What happens next:
- You'll receive a Spotify URL immediately
- Your podcast generally becomes publicly available on Spotify within 1 hour but may take more time to be searchable in their library
- Castos automatically adds the Spotify URL to your directory settings
- Spotify analytics will appear in your Castos Analytics dashboard
If Your Podcast Is Already on Spotify
If you see the submission option but your podcast already exists on Spotify (from a previous host or direct upload):
- Click Enter URL Manually instead of submitting
- Paste your existing Spotify podcast URL
- Click Save
This connects your existing Spotify listing to your Castos account for analytics tracking.
Claiming Your Show on Spotify for Creators
After submitting via Castos, you can claim your podcast in Spotify for Creators to access:
- Spotify-specific analytics
To claim your show:
- Create a Spotify for Creators account
- Follow Spotify's instructions for claiming a show
Claiming is optional—your podcast will work fine on Spotify without it.
Video Podcast Limitation
Important: Spotify only supports video episodes hosted directly on their platform. Video episodes in your Castos RSS feed will not appear as video on Spotify.
Workarounds:
- Submit audio-only episodes to Spotify
- Create a separate video podcast directly on Spotify for Creators

Troubleshooting

| 0 listens showing in analytics | Verify your Spotify URL is available in Distribution → Directories and that Spotify is using your Castos RSS feed. |

| Already submitted message | Your podcast may already be on Spotify. Use "Enter URL Manually" option |
| Podcast not appearing in Spotify library | It can take several hours for newly submitted shows to appear in the search results. Further, results are shown based on play count so new shows may be further down in the results as it builds an audience. |
