FAQ

Enable AI Content

To use the AI Content Add-on, you'll need to enable the feature on the podcast-level.

  1. Go to the podcast Settings you would like to generate AI Content for
  2. Click AI Assistant
  3. Click AI Content from the sidebar

Generate AI Content for new episodes using Castos-generated transcripts

To generate AI Content automatically with Castos-generated transcripts, you'll need to make sure that you have the transcripts feature enabled. You can go to the podcast's Settings —> AI Assistant —> Transcripts to ensure Transcripts are enabled.

  1. Click + New Episode to create a new episode
  2. Enter an episode title or a temporary working title if you plan to use the AI suggestion
  3. Upload the episode file
  4. Optional: You can set the episode's meta details but I would refrain from entering show notes at this point as using the AI show notes later would overwrite any existing show notes.
  5. With Generate Transcript + Generate AI Content selected, click Save Draft

    Click Save Draft
  6. Processing time for the transcript takes roughly 15-30% of the file's duration so for a 30 minute episode you'll need to wait about 10 minutes for everything to complete before continuing (more time would be needed for longer episodes)
  7. Go back in to the episode's edit page (ensure the transcript is complete) and you'll see AI Assistant buttons next to the title and description fields

    AI Assistant buttons now available
  8. Clicking the AI Assistant button for Title will provide three AI-generated suggestions, if you'd like to apply one, hover over the suggestion and click Apply
  9. Clicking the AI Assistant button for the Description will provide one suggestion for show notes. To use the show notes, click Apply to Episode (note that applying these show notes will overwrite anything already entered in the description field)
  10. Modify the show notes as you see fit and complete the rest of the episode details, including updating the episode slug if the episode title changed
  11. Publish or Schedule the episode as you normally would
