Create a Campaign

Add dynamic pre-roll and post-roll content to your audio episodes automatically with Castos Campaigns.

  1. Go to Campaigns in your Castos dashboard
  2. Click + Create Campaign
  3. Select the podcast you would like the Campaign to run on
  4. Enter a Campaign Name and Description
  5. Upload/Select your pre-roll and/or post-roll audio files
    1. File duration must be 60 seconds or less
    2. File size must be 10MB or less
    3. MP3 is recommended, but M4A, AAC, and OGG are also supported file types.
  6. Set your Campaign Start Date and End Date
  7. Click Create Campaign and confirm you'd like to create the campaign.

NOTE: If the campaign is set to begin immediately, allow time for the episode files to be stitched with your pre and/or post-roll content. Once the Campaign is active, you'll see the Campaign status switch from Processing to Active. Please allow some time for podcast directories (Apple Podcasts, Spotify, etc) to ingest the new episode files.

Things to note:

A campaign can only be assigned to one podcast (show), not across multiple podcasts.

Campaigns will only be stitched to audio episodes. Video episodes are not supported and will be skipped.

Once a campaign ends, your RSS feed and Castos Players will revert back to using your original episode files unless a new campaign was scheduled to begin.

The Essentials plan is limited to one active campaign and cannot schedule campaigns.

Growth and Pro plans can have one active campaign per podcast in the account and schedule up to the plan limit per podcast. For example, Growth users can have a "Q1 Promo" active and then schedule a Q2, Q3, and Q4 promo.

Trial accounts cannot set an End Date past the trial expiration date.

SSP + WordPress Users

At this time (March 2026), Seriously Simple Podcasting does not support Campaigns. Support for Campaigns is scheduled for a future SSP release.
