Manage Dynamic Show Notes
Dynamic intros and outros but for show notes
Insert dynamic text to your show notes in the form of headers and footers automatically without having to manually edit episodes. Whether you're looking to showcase rotating sponsors of your podcast or include CTAs or Social Links without having to write them out with each episode, Dynamic Show Notes has a use-case for you.
After you add dynamic show note text, we'll automatically add the Header text to the beginning of your show notes and the Footer text to the end of your show notes in your RSS feed. You can update the Header and Footer text at anytime and we'll automatically make the changes after you save.
Add your Dynamic Show Notes
- Go to your podcast Settings —> Dynamic Show Notes
- Enter your desired Header text and/or Footer text (text only, no images)
- Click Save
- Click Preview to preview how your notes would generally look
Remove your Dynamic Show Notes
- Go to your podcast Settings —> Dynamic Show Notes
- Delete your Header/Footer text leaving the input boxes empty
- Click Save
Dynamic Show Notes is complementary to our Castos Campaigns feature where you can add Dynamic Intros (pre-roll) and Outros (post-roll) audio to your episodes! Learn More.
Things to know about Dynamic Show Notes
- As with your regular show notes, podcast apps and directories vary in support for text formatting. While some may support bold text, line breaks, bulleted lists, clickable links, etc, not all do. This means your Dynamic Show Notes (like your regular show notes) may look different across apps. This is outside of Castos' control.
- You don't need to use both Header and Footer, you can choose to use only one.
- You cannot insert images
- You can update your Dynamic Show Notes as frequently as need to or use them in a long-term sense for text that should always be included in your show notes (such as newsletter sign up form or your social links)
- New Dynamic Show Notes and any changes are automatically added to your RSS feed but please allow 5 minutes or so for any caches to clear to see the feed changes.
- Dynamic Show Notes are not sent to YouTube with YouTube republishing. This is because once an episode is republished to YouTube, we cannot make further changes to the episode.
